1. Who We Are

This website is operated by The Florida Rodent Control, a lead referral and information service founded in 2005 by John Kevin. Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to The Florida Rodent Control, and “you” refers to any person using this website or our referral service.

2. We Are a Referral Service, Not a Contractor

This is the single most important term on this page. We are not a licensed pest control business and we do not perform rodent control, exclusion, attic restoration or wildlife work ourselves.

All work is carried out by independent companies operating under their own licence issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services under Chapter 482, Florida Statutes. Wildlife species including squirrels and bats are additionally regulated by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

When we refer you to an operator, you enter into a direct contractual relationship with that operator. We are not a party to that contract. The operator is solely responsible for the work performed, the pricing quoted, the warranty offered, their licensing and insurance, their conduct on your property, and any damage or loss arising from their work.

Your assigned operator is responsible for providing their FDACS licence number and current insurance certificates on your written estimate. We encourage you to verify that licence number independently through the FDACS licensee search at fdacs.gov before any work begins.

3. Information on This Website

The content on this site is general guidance for Florida property owners. It is not a diagnosis of your specific situation, not a quotation, and not legal, insurance, medical or financial advice.

• Cost figures are published industry ranges gathered for general guidance. They are not quotations and your actual price depends on your building and will be set by your operator.
• Regulatory information including licensing requirements, bat exclusion dates and wildlife relocation rules reflects our understanding at the time of writing. Regulations change. Verify current requirements with FDACS and FWC directly.
• Insurance commentary describes general industry practice. Coverage varies significantly between carriers and policies. Read your own policy or speak with your agent.
• Seasonal and regional descriptions are generalisations about typical conditions and do not predict what is happening at your specific property.

4. No Guarantee of Outcome

We do not guarantee that any operator we refer will be available, will accept your job, will quote a price acceptable to you, or will achieve any particular result. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or currency of information on this site, and we may change or remove content at any time without notice.

5. Your Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information about your property and situation when requesting a referral.
• Verify the licence and insurance of any operator before work begins.
• Read and understand any estimate or contract before signing it.
• Raise concerns about an operator with that operator directly, and with us so we can act on the feedback.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of this website, from any referral we make, or from any work performed by an operator we refer. This includes property damage, personal injury, financial loss and business interruption.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful under Florida or federal law.

7. Intellectual Property

The written content, structure and design of this website are ours. You may read, share links to, and quote brief passages with attribution to The Florida Rodent Control. You may not reproduce pages wholesale, republish substantial portions, or use our content to train commercial models without permission.

8. Third Party Links

This site links to external resources including FDACS, FWC and UF/IFAS. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
