Florida Rodent Blog, by Region

Rodent problems are local. A tile roof in Naples, a rebuilt house on Fort Myers Beach, a shared condo attic in Casselberry and a cane field edge in Belle Glade are four different jobs. These posts cover what actually causes each one and what fixes it.

We would rather publish a handful of solid posts than a section per city filled with padding. These regions have full service area coverage already and blog posts are being added as there is something specific worth saying.

About the Blog

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the blog different from your guides?

The guides are statewide and evergreen: identifying what you have, what the work costs, how to judge a company, insurance. The blog is regional and specific: the actual communities, the actual failures, and the local timing that drives them.

Why organise by region rather than by city?

Because conditions genuinely group by region rather than by city line. Naples and Bonita Springs share the same tile roofs, the same absence of a cold break and the same post Ian rebuild story. A separate post for each would repeat itself. Where a community has something genuinely its own, it gets its own page in service areas.

Not all regions have posts yet. Why?

Because we would rather publish nine solid posts than fifty thin ones. Regions are added as there is something specific worth saying. Every one of the 178 communities already has its own detailed page under service areas.

Who writes these?

John Kevin, who has run The Florida Rodent Control since 2005. Regulatory claims are sourced from FDACS, FWC and UF/IFAS, and cost figures are published industry ranges rather than quotations.
